What's New
This page summarizes what has changed most recently in Handicap Forecast. Full descriptions are under Features.
Version 1.3.0

Scorecard
You can now record a round hole by hole: enter strokes per hole, with par and stroke index shown alongside, while the app derives gross and net points and the adjusted gross score. During entry you see a running projection of where the round is heading. Entering a single total gross score still works as before – the scorecard is an additional way, not a requirement. See Record results.
NRa – rounds not played in full
If an 18-hole round was stopped but at least 10 holes were played, the NRa checkbox lets you still score it in line with WHS. The app fills in the holes not played automatically using the official adjustment rule. See Record results and the glossary entry Abandoned round.
Series (Premium)
With Series you can play through how your HCPI would have developed if extra rounds had counted for handicap – useful for winter rounds or practice runs. A series continues from your real official history, not in isolation. Full detail on the Series page.
Analysis (Premium)
Every view – Official, Incl. private rounds or a series – now has its own Analysis: number of rounds and courses played, HCPI trend as a chart, best and worst round, and the average Score Differential. When the scorecard is filled in completely, eagles, birdies, pars and bogeys are added too. Opened from the new chart icon on the dashboard.
Add 9-hole courses faster
Par and stroke index for a 9-hole course can now be copied from an already recorded 18-hole course at the same club – either the front or the back nine. Stroke indexes are renumbered to 1–9; all values stay editable afterwards. See Course details.
Mark individual results as counting for handicap
You now decide directly on each result whether it feeds into the HCPI calculation. Results that do not count for handicap appear in the Incl. private rounds view and can be assigned to a series. See Record results.
Fully reworked design
Result entry, profile, courses, clubs and other screens have been redesigned: cards are grouped more clearly and a consistent header carries the back and save actions instead of separate buttons at the screen edge.
Improved presentation
More consistent colours and better readability in light and dark mode, including the scenario and Premium views.
HCPI trend chart moved
The HCPI trend chart has moved from the profile page into the new Analysis. There it shows the trend for whichever view is selected, no longer only for official results.
Bug fixes
Various smaller corrections, including course handicap threshold rounding and the scorecard projection.
